Cute Name Katy Perry is Calling Unborn Daughter

by Laura Driver

Katy Perry will become a mother for the first time, to a baby girl, while Orlando has a nine-year-old son Flynn with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

During an interview Katy said "The good thing is that he has a kid that's nine. And he's been through it. So when we were going to pick out strollers, he knew exactly the stroller. And like, some of the strollers are very chic, they've got leather handles and blah, blah, blah. And I was like really drawn to them right? And he's like 'No, let me show you what the stroller is. It's this one that you pick up in the middle and it collapses and it's like 'Bang, bang', it's like an umbrella. I was like 'Oh my God, I'm so grateful that you know this, because I would have gotten some, you know, large hunky thing' and that is avoidable because he's already had a test run so, I'm grateful for that."

Katy has spent most of her pregnancy in lockdown and has shared the name she's been calling her unborn baby girl, Katy told Fleur East on Hits Radio Breakfast "I call her Kicky Perry sometimes. I love a pun but I'm really active right now and, you know, my doctors are like 'Stay active, you're good to go girl!' And so I've been dancing, I've been singing a lot."

Katy went on to say she is a huge fan of Fleur's name, adding: "It's [the name] actually really beautiful. Legit, it may go on the list. I'm going to text him [Orlando] right now."

Katy and Orlando have a shortlist of names for their unborn daughter, but the singer said they won't name her until she arrives. She said "We have yet to decide specifically on her name because, I think, we've got options and she'll tell us. I'll look at her and go, 'Oh yeah, yeah, you are her, you are that'."

Katy also opened up about the emotional rollercoaster pregnancy has taken her on "I've been every emotion under the sun. I've been overwhelmed, I've been anxious, I've been happy, I've been overjoyed, I've been depressed. I've been all of it. The world is just a wild time and it's a wild time to bring life into the world. People were already having those kinds of conversations years ago where it was like, 'Man, the world feels a little uncertain'... and now it really feels shaky boots!"

Katy said she and Orlando can't wait to become parents together "He's really excited for a little girl. They say little girls are, you know, daddy's little girl, that's how it's gonna be, we'll see."
