First Trimester Essentials

The first trimester is one of the worst for many women. Today I am going to share with you the items which have helped me during the first trimester. I have not been feeling the greatest there have been periods of time where I thought that I could not do it anymore. The nausea is something which has been horrible. I have not been eating that much. After 12 weeks I have not actually gained any weight this pregnancy. Hopefully, this is something which changes and I get my appetite back I miss food.

Back Cushion

If I am sitting on a sofa, I will really need something supporting my back. I seem to be struggling with my lower back there is not a lot which I can get to help ease this. I have tried getting people to massage my back to ease it. This does help however, of course, this cannot happen all of the time. So, I have found a cushion behind my back to support it is helping. I know I am no doubt going to have to purchase a pregnancy pillow at some stage.

Water Bottle

I am constantly needing to take in water and juice. I have had periods where I can feel super dizzy and dehydrated. Luckily, I am able to drink juice however, I am completely not loving fizzy drinks any more they make me too gassy. Of course, being pregnant when it is humid, it's easy to become dehydrated. Carrying water is something which I am finding essential at the moment. It is something which I am going to try and do for the rest of my pregnancy.

Toast

This has been one of the only things which I can manage to stand. No matter what time of day it is, I can actually manage to eat toast. I swear for the first few weeks it is one of the only things which I managed to eat. For now, toast is usually a snack as my nausea is starting to go away, however, I do sometimes still have it at lunch. This has actually saved me because I have felt so sick, I have had even less energy because I have not had food.

Comfy Leggings

Leggings are something which I wear all the time no matter if I am pregnant or not. Of course, I want the ones which are even comfier and stretchy to accommodate my ever-growing bump. At the moment I have not had to invest in any pregnancy leggings however, I am sure this will change as time goes on. I do want things to be too tight around my bump at the moment because it hurts by the end of the day.

Loose Tops

I am unsure if this is due to the heat. I do not want things clinging to me and been tight at the moment. Luckily, I have so many of my tops which are not too tight. Again, I do not want to have to purchase too many maternity items at the moment while I can get away with it.

YouTube

There has been days where I have had to go lay down because I have felt so sick. I have been watching so much YouTube in order to not get bored which is something which I need. I have found so many new channels which are amazing. Netflix is something which I might have to purchase further into my pregnancy so I do not get bored. I do actually have amazon prime so I might have to look into this more to keep me entertained.

Heartburn Medication

This is something which I picked up in Asda however, my heartburn this time has been terrible. I struggled with heartburn towards the end of my pregnancy with Jess. There are a few times where I have had to take it because I have felt so awful. I have just been taking the Asda's own just make sure it is safe to take when you're pregnant.
