The Parent Test
My name is Beth, and my son is called Rami. He is 27-months-old and we live in rural Norfolk. I am currently a full time mum, although before I had children I worked in the NHS. We are a very active family, and most weekends can be found at the beach, woods, or any other nature setting.
First impressions
My first impressions opening the seat were very positive. The box is well-packaged to keep the car seat protected. Inside the box the car seat is packaged inside a plastic bag to keep it protected from wet weather.
The seat is very easy to install, but a tiny bit fiddly to get the ISOFIX ports secured in, as is always the case! The seat isn’t huge, and doesn’t take up too much space in the car itself. On first impression, my son looks very comfortable in the seat, and he fits well in it.
Comfort & Ease of Use
I think the comfort of the seat is great! My son looks really comfortable in it, his posture is protected, but he isn't slumped or cramped as I have seen in other seats.
The seat is really easy to keep clean with a quick wipe for any spills. I think regular hoovering and wiping would work well, but it is great that the covers are removable if you need to wash them. The fact that the seat swivels 360 degrees really facilitates putting in and taking out my son in a much easier way. It feels much easier on your back than a seat that does not swivel all the way around.
Safety Features
The seat feels really sturdy and robust, this was one of the main things that stood out to me. The 5-point harness feels very secure and seems to fit well around my son without being irritating for him. The straps are very thick, which I love as it feels very secure.
I also like how much leg room there is when doing extended rear facing and the range of headrest options, it makes it much more comfortable for my son’s legs compared to other seats. I like how easy it is to check that the seat is safely installed using the green installation tabs, a lifesaver for worrying mums!
Value for Money
This car seat can be used from birth through to age 10, so if you were to use the seat for 75% of the time throughout their 10 years of use, the price per use is VERY reasonable compared to other seat options!
I think this is especially true when you take the quality of the seat into consideration. It really does feel like an amazing quality seat that would last your little one the whole way through, with different inserts for each stage.
Final Thoughts
I genuinely think that this seat is brilliant for babies, toddlers and children alike! It's sturdy, comfortable, and the safety features are amazing. This is definitely my new go-to car seat for my toddler, and definitely his favourite so far.
